Michael Plude, PT, DPT, CSCS, brings a deep understanding of human movement drawn from years as a collegiate athlete, hitting and catching instructor, strength and conditioning coach, physical therapist, and lifelong recreational athlete. His diverse background allows him to bridge the gap between performance and rehabilitation — helping clients move better, feel stronger, and live with confidence in their bodies.

Michael’s passion for treating hypermobility and connective tissue disorders is both personal and professional. Diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder in his 20s, he understands firsthand the challenges of managing pain, instability, fatigue, and common comorbidities while maintaining an active lifestyle. This experience shaped his specialized approach to hypermobility treatment — one that blends strength development, motor control, and functional movement training to create long-term stability and resilience.

Originally from Connecticut, Michael grew up immersed in sports — playing baseball, football, basketball, and the occasional round of golf. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Vassar College, where he captained the baseball team as a catcher and corner infielder. After college, he moved to New York City, serving as the lead hitting/catching instructor and strength and conditioning coach for NY Empire Baseball before pursuing physical therapy.

Michael completed his Post-Baccalaureate degree at NYU and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from LIU-Brooklyn. His training included specialized clinical rotations in Functional Manual Therapy, and he continues advanced study through the Institute of Physical Art, with a focus on PNF and motor development.

Today, Michael combines clinical precision with an athlete’s mindset — helping individuals with hypermobility, chronic pain, and movement inefficiencies discover what their bodies are truly capable of.
